Getting started
Tiny Slayer beginner guide: your first steps
Make your first sessions count with a simple routine: learn the battle loop, equip what you unlock, and use each upgrade to solve the next challenge.
Follow the opening guidance, equip your first skill, check your available upgrades, and test your build. When you return later, claim offline rewards before choosing your next investment.
Follow the opening guidance
Start by following the tutorial instead of trying to understand every menu at once. Tiny Slayer introduces its systems as you progress. Let the current objective guide your next action, then return to the battle and see what changed.
Your early goal is to learn the cycle: fight enemies, collect resources, make an upgrade, and push farther. A locked feature is something to revisit when it becomes available. There is no need to plan around an endgame build before you have learned what your first skills do.
Equip your first skill and learn Auto Skill
When the skill guide appears, open Skills, select the highlighted skill, choose Equip, and select the guided slot. Use the equipped skill when prompted, then follow the introduction to Auto Skill. Unlocking or obtaining a skill and equipping it are separate steps, so check the equipped slots when a new skill seems to be missing from combat.
Read the skill description before deciding what to replace later. Watch its effect in an encounter you understand. That gives you a reference point for comparing future choices. Our build guide goes into choosing skills for different problems.
Check equipment and available upgrades
Review your sword and armor when you obtain something new. Compare the item details and your equipped setup before spending resources. A resource is useful when you know which part of your build you want it to improve.
For stats, start with the problem in front of you. If enemies defeat you quickly, inspect your survival options. If you remain alive but cannot finish the boss, inspect damage and skill use. Avoid spending across every system simply because a button is available; choose an upgrade with a purpose, then check the result.
Treat the first difficult boss as information
A failed boss attempt is a chance to spot what is holding you back. Watch your health, the boss health, and the timer. Make a change between attempts and compare the same encounter where possible. Changing several things together makes it harder to see what helped.
You do not have to keep retrying the same fight immediately. Spend time earning resources, revisit the upgrades already available, and come back with a stronger setup. The boss progression guide includes a short troubleshooting checklist.
Use a simple return routine
- Check and claim the offline reward available to you.
- Review the next tutorial or progression objective.
- Choose one useful equipment, stat, or skill improvement.
- Test your setup against the encounter you are working on.
- Leave your next goal clear so the following visit feels purposeful.
Offline rewards have a collection limit, so check the reward panel rather than assuming they build forever. Our offline rewards guide explains how to plan around that loop without keeping the game open all day.
